| A brief history of Craven Arms Evangelical Church The church was funded initially in 1996 by a loan from Rural Ministries, a charity which supports Christian ministry in rural communities. We were also supported and helped by Crowmore Baptist Church in Shrewsbury and Christ Church Woodbury. The fellowship purchased St. Andrews Church in 2003 and have been improving it to serve the fellowship and the local community. The original aim of reaching out to the people of the area with the gospel of Jesus Christ very much continues to this day. In September 1998 Peter and Marilyn Price were called to pastor the fellowship. There have been 12 baptisms over these last nine years as well as a large movement of committed Christians into the area with a specific call to assist the work. More recently, in connection with Rural Ministries Stephen Howard has been placed with us as Trainee Pastor. |
